"Finding Fanny" and "Creature 3D" have finished their first week box office run on a very low note.
Though "Finding Fanny" took off very well, its box office collection dropped during the weekdays. The film in its debut week minted ₹28.09 crore.
Here is the first week breakup of the film: Friday ₹5.1 crore, Saturday ₹7.05 crore, Sunday ₹7.75 crore, Monday ₹2.5 crore, Tuesday ₹2.07 crore, Wednesday ₹1.92 crore and Thursday ₹1.7 crore.
The film features Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles. The film was released in only 900 screens in India, but the screen count will decline in its second week due to two big movies – "Daawat-e-Ishq" and "Khoobsurat".
Meanwhile, the monster thriller film "Creature 3D" starring Bipasha Basu had a poor first week box office collection, but the makers are happy that the film has recovered its production cost.
With the help of first week collection, satellite, music, overseas and home video rights the film has earned its overall cost of production, which is said to be ₹24 crore.
"Creature 3D" in its first week accumulated approximately ₹17 crore. The satellite right was sold for ₹12 crore, while the music, overseas and other rights were sold for ₹6 crore.
Overall, the film has made profits despite having a poor box office run. The producer of the film is glad that audience have appreciated their work.
"In my opinion, Creature 3D worked because it gave the audience a chance to watch its first home grown creature film. The film not only scared the audiences, but also gave them the VFX par Hollywood standards," producer Bhushan Kumar told Bollywood Hungama.
"We are glad that our audience accepted and liked India's first creature film and gave us such good numbers. The film, in the first week itself with the music and satellite rights, has given us major profits."
