There is a buzz that the teaser of Suriya's "Masss" might be released for Pongal.
"Masss" director Venkat Prabhu has revealed on his Twitter page that there will be an update about the film for the Pongal festival period. Speculations are rife that the director might release the film's teaser on the festival day. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard.
The first-look posters of "Masss" were released for Diwali and received fantastic response from the fans. Now, they are eagerly looking forward to the film's teaser. It needs to be seen if the "Masss" team comes up with an impressive teaser for Pongal.
This is the first time that Suriya has teamed up with Venkat Prabhu. The film is carrying huge expectations as Venkat Prabhu has a successful track record with films like "Mankatha" and "Saroja."
"Masss" is touted as an action entertainer with fantasy element in it. Suriya will reportedly be sporting two different looks in the film. Nayanthara, Pranitha, Premgi Amaren, Karunas and Seeman are also part of the film's cast. Earlier there were reports that Amy Jackson will be part of the film, but it was later revealed that she opted out of the project.
The film's music will be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography is handled by RD Rajasekhar. Studio Green and 2D Productions are producing the film. The shooting of the action entertainer is progressing well and is expected to be completed soon.
"Masss" is expected to release in April, though an official confirmation is still awaited. Suriya's last release "Anjaan" was panned by the critics and the audience. The film failed to set the cash registers ringing and was a box office failure. Fans will be hoping that "Masss" performs well at the box office. It needs to be seen if the Suriya-starrer will be able to impress the audience and strike gold at the box office.
