Director Vysakh, who was rumoured to be in bad terms with Mammootty, has finally come up with some clarification surrounding the controversies.

Earlier, there were reports that Vysakh and Mammootty are on a tiff when the superstar apparently interfered and made the director rewrite the script of the film, "Pokkiri Raja", which was released in 2010 and some cited this as a reason for the duo not doing a film together again.

Meanwhile, Vysakh has now come up with an open letter regarding this and said he is writing the letter in regard to the unreasonable comments made against his "favourite star" Mammootty. The director pointed out that the actor is his guide and mentor.

"With 'Pokkiri Raja', Mammootty gave me not only a film, but also my life. After our first venture, I did not attempt another movie with him simply because I did not have a good enough character to narrate to him. All other rumours surrounding my association with the legend is not true. I believe my well-wishers can identify those who misuse the social media in this way and react accordingly so that such adverse comments are not spread again," wrote Vysakh in his letter.

Vysakh had made his directorial debut with "Pokkiri Raja", starring Mammootty and Prithviraj in the lead roles. He later went on to do noticeable films like "Seniors", "Mallu Singh", "Sound Thoma" and "Vishudhan".

Vyshak is currently busy with the post-production phase of his latest flick, "Cousins", starring Kunchacko Boban, Indrajith Sukumaran, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Joju George. This film is reportedly the most costly film of Vysakh, which is made with an approximate budget of close to ₹10 crore. It is expected to hit theatres around Christmas.

Meanwhile, the director has also lined up yet another mass with Mohanlal, which is titled as "Puli Murugan". This film is scheduled to hit theatres in 2015.
