Ever since director Rajkumar Hirani announced it, Aamir Khan's "PK" has been creating ripples in the media, mostly for good reasons. Its promos have created lot of curiosity among film goers and led to expectations soaring sky-high. Slated to release in theatres on 19 December, the movie has made viewers wait desperately to watch it. 

Starring Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles, "PK" boasts of several interesting facts that have sustained viewers' craze for two years.

Here are 10 reasons why "PK" is a must-watch film.

1. "PK" is latest offering of "3 Idiots" fame director and producer duo

Director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra have given blockbuster entertainers such as "3 Idiots", "Munna Bhai MBBS" and "Lage Raho Munna Bhai". The duo have joined hands again for "PK". The magic that they have created in the film took them a long duration of two years, which is the biggest reason to watch the film.

2. Intriguing storyline

The makers of "PK" have kept the story under wraps, which has created a lot of intrigue around the film. Going by its promos, the movie has got an interesting subject, which has been never brought on the silver screen by any Bollywood filmmaker in the past. The story will be a big highlight of the film.

3. Aamir Khan in brand new avatar

"Mr Perfectionist" Aamir Khan is obviously the biggest reason to watch the movie. He is seen in a never-before-played role in it. His looks and mannerisms are going to be the main highlights of the movie.

4. Anushka Sharma's chemistry with Aamir and Sushant

The promos of "PK" show that Anushka Sharma has played an interesting role and she has given amazing performance. She will be seen with Aamir Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput and her sparkling chemistry with them will certainly be worth watching. 

5. Boman Irani and Sanjay Dutt's performances

Boman Irani and Sanjay Dutt, who have earlier worked with Rajkumar Hirani in films like "3 Idiots" and "Munna Bhai MBBS", will also be seen in "PK"; their roles and performance will also add to the movie's attraction.  

6. High entertainment quotient

Rajkumar Hirani is well known for his comedy entertainers and as per its promos, his latest directorial venture "PK" is very high on comic quotient. It is going to be a grand treat for comedy lovers.

7. Music and background score

Ajay Atul, Shantanu Moitra and Ankit Tiwari have composed music for the soundtracks as well as background score for "PK". With a couple of tracks already become hits, their music is going to be one of the biggest attractions of the film.

8. Beautiful locales and picturisation

"PK" has been shot in beautiful locations of Delhi and Rajasthan; CK Muraleedharan has handled the camera work very well. His cinematography coupled with exotic locales are also going to be highlights of the film.

9. Make-up, costumes design and art direction

The promos of "PK" show that technical departments such as make-up, costumes design and art direction have delivered wonderful output, which will be among the big attractions of the film.

10. Wonderful message to film goers

Rajkumar Hirani's films are known for delivering a strong message and "PK" is no exception to it. Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who watched the film at a special screening, says that it is completely out-of-the box film with a very strong message. A must-watch film, according to him.
