Vijay has done the magic again. If the box office figures of his latest movie "Kaththi" are anything to go by, the Ilayathalapathy has proven again that his star power works big time at collection centres.
In a week, "Kaththi" has crossed 80-crore mark worldwide and now heading fast towards making 100 crores. After getting a great opening, the Tamil movie managed to retain a good occupancy rate at key centres which has helped the Vijay's flick to make stunning business at the box office.

The first and the foremost reason will remain Vijay. Without his presence, one could not imagine "Kaththi" doing such a business at the Box Office.

Anirudh Ravichander's magic has not only worked with his songs but also with background score. At crucial junctures, his background works big time. And George Williams' cinematography have added huge value to the project. Without his brilliance behind the camera, the film would have lost its appeal.

Last but not the least, the controversies surrounding "Kaththi" generated a sympathy wave around the Vijay's film and this ensured an earth-shattering opening for the movie.
