Yes, Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana Kamineni has shocked Chiru and also the entire family with her respect to traditional and family values. Upasana has been married to Charan two years ago and still did not change her surname. When asked about this same issue she told that there is no rule or pressure from my family to change her surname but she feels it is a kind of tradition to the Indian women changing their surname once married and so gave a nod to do so.
Apparently, in India it has been a custom that women after marriage are going to change their surnames to the surnames of their in-laws. Even though it is not a must, they feel that it is a family tradition and follow accordingly. But, why so late Upasana? Are you busy with other things that are actually important than your family tradition? Well, it is surely appreciable about Upasana that she sticks by tradition even in this fast-forward times!
