Salman Khan's 1998 blackbuck poaching case is apparently being made into a film.
However, "Raagini MMS" director Pawan Kripalani's "Blue Blood" is based 'only' on poaching and he claims that Salman's case is not part of his directorial.
"The movie is not about the poaching case. In no way do I mention the 1998 case or any actors involved (in the case) in my film. It's a general and larger take on the fact that poaching is illegal," IANS Kriplani's statement.
Well, it might not be on the actor's long-pending case but the director has chosen a brilliant time frame to talk about his film. Is he cashing in on the case's popularity? Only time will tell.
According to reports, the court hearings involving the superstar took place on 5 November. While the order for the poaching case has been put off until a later date by the Supreme Court, the proceedings for the 2002 hit-and-run case will continue on 24 November.
It was reported, that the superstar along with his "Hum Saath Saath Hai" co-actors – Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Tabu – were spotted chasing an endangered species of deer in Kankani, Rajasthan.
"There were 51 witnesses in the case which of poaching of two black bucks in Kankani area. The actor is accused of hunting and killing the endangered deer while shooting his film Hum Saath Saath Hain. He has been in jail twice in this case, once in 1998, and again in 2007," stated a Firstpost report.
However, the director, made it clear that he wasn't doing a film based on Salman's case, meanwhile the subject matter is similar. "It is coincidentally set in the same environment. It's not about the blackbuck case and not specific about a matter. The idea was to try to do a film on the poaching issue, which has been going on for years," IANS quoted him.
