Director Kumar Nagendra hogged the lime light with his last venture "Gundello Godaari", which was intense family drama. Many film-goers were upset over the absence of comedy in the movie. Based on the viewers' feedback, he is back with an out-and-out comedy film. He describes his latest directorial "Joru" as a "true-blue entertainer".
Written by Nagendra, "Joru" is about a girl named after her grandmother Annapoorna. The story revolves around her journey from the US to India in a quest to find her family. Truth keeps unfolding after she meets the hero. It is a confusion drama spinning around three heroines with the same name, which makes it unique.
Produced with a small budget, "Joru" is a full-length comedy entertainer. Sundeep Kishan plays the hero, while Raashi Khanna, Priya Banerjee and Sushma Raj essays the female leads in the movie.
The biggest highlight is the role played by comedian Brahmanadam. The background score and songs composed by Bheems Sisiroleo are also among the various attractions of the film.
Released in theatres on 7 November, "Joru" is getting mixed response from the audience. The movie buffs, who are now watching it in theatres, say that there is nothing much impressive in the first half. Continue to read "Joru movie viewers review.
