Hrithik Roshan's "Bang Bang" entered second week on a decent note. Despite several new releases, the film held well at the box office in India.
In fact, the second Friday's collection was better than the combined opening day collection of five new releases.
"Bang Bang" on second Friday minted approximately ₹4 crore. The overall nine days nett box office income of the film stands at ₹139.45 crore.

The film is set to beat Ajay Devgn's "Singham Returns" lifetime collection and become the second highest earning Bollywood film of 2014. Katrina Kaif starrer "Bang Bang" has already shattered the gross income of "Singham Returns", but it is yet to beat the nett collection record of Devgn's movie.
Meanwhile, the film has created records in international markets too. It has become the fourth fastest film to cross the $9 million mark globally in just eight days of its release.
With this, the film has broken the lifetime records of Hrithik's previous films.

New Releases
This week five films were released, but all of them opened to dull response. "Jigariyaa", "Tamanchey" and "Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami" were expected to fetch decent amount on day one of their release, but they failed to do so.
While "Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami" opened to almost positive reviews, "Jigariyaa" and "Tamanchey" opened to negative reviews.
"Tamanchey" fared better than other releases and raked in ₹50 lakh on opening day, "Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami" earned ₹40 lakh and "Jigariyaa" earned just ₹2 lakh, according to Bollywood Hungama.
Since the new releases had very poor response, "Bang Bang" and "Haider" are expected to dominate the box office.
