Ravi Teja's upcoming film "Power" is all set for a big release on 12 September.
The mass entertainer will be releasing in around 900 screens worldwide. The screen count for "Power" is expected to be around 750 from India, 100 from United States and Canada and more than 25 from other overseas markets, reported Andhraboxoffice.
"Power" was slated to hit the screens on 5 September, but the film's release date was pushed to 12 September.
The film will be Teja's first release of the year. The actor will be appearing in the role of a cop in the action entertainer. He will be seen in two different looks and is paired with Hansika and Regina Cassandra. The other cast members include Brahmanandam, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Prakash Raj, Brahmaji, Posani Krishna Murali and Sampath Raj among others.
"Power" is written by Kona Venkat, Mohana Krishna and K Chakravarthy. It is directed by KS Ravindra and produced by Rockline Venkatesh.
Adavnce Booking for the film has commenced and it is likely to get grand response from the fans. "Power" will be having a solo release on the first day, but will be locking horns with Vishnu Manchu's "Anukshanam" from 13 September.
On the other hand, "Anukshanam" is having low buzz and the film's performance will depend on the word of mouth. If the Vishnu starrer fails to impress the audience, it will work in favour of "Power."
The mass entertainer is expected to perform well at the box office. It will be interesting to see if the Teja starrer manages to break any record.
The actor's last release "Balupu" set the cash registers ringing and he will be hoping to continue his success streak with "Power." The film will have one week time to rake in good collections, after which it will be facing tough competition from Mahesh Babu's "Aagadu,' slated to hit theatres on 19 September.
