Now that the production of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is over, there is a possibility that some of the rumours related to the plot of the much-awaited movie will hold some credibility.
Badass Digest has revealed what could possibly go down in "Dawn of Justice," and according to spoilers the situation isn't looking up for Henry Cavill's Superman aka Clark Kent.
The movie is expected to open with Batman coming to Metropolis during the Superman-Zod fight. But the first segment is not going to focus heavily on Batman, and moving forward the highlight will be Superman and how the events of "Man of Steel" has affected him, reported Badass Digest.
The events of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" takes place a few years after what happened in "Man of Steel."
The beginning of the movie will show Clark Kent and Lois Lane living together and working at the Daily Planet. But Clark Kent will appear to be unhappy with the assignments he is given; he is asked to cover mundane stuff while what he really wants to do is dig deeper and find out more about Batman.
Plot spoilers indicate that early on in the film, Superman will have to deal with negative reactions from global audience when he gets mistaken to be a weapon designed by the US to take down other global powers. This happens when Lois Lane gets into a bit of trouble while in the Middle East and Superman shows up to help her out.
"This becomes something of an international incident as other nations view Superman as a tool of the United States. China, for instance, doesn't want him in their air space. It's an interesting look at how a being like Superman would be viewed on a global scale," noted Badass Digest.
As for Ben Affleck's Batman, he will be semi-retired and he will be controlling drones from the Batcave. Here's what Hollywood producer Daniel Alter had to say about the character: "Can't wait for #BatmanvsSuperman.. #batfleck semi-retired/not speaking to Robin anymore.. Controlling drones from the batcave."
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will open in the US theatres on 25 March 2016.
