Nisha, Kollywood's veteran actress who once romanced superstars Rajinikanth and Kamal Hasan is suffering from HIV. She was found in pathetic condition battling for life at Nabur Darga, Nagapattanam district. Her situation came into light when Murugesan, lawyer of Human Rights Association who received her photos on WhatsApp, directed district collector and superintendent of police to provide her treatment immediately and report status report in four weeks time.

She who resembled a skeleton was found lying on footpath abandoned by people. No one bothered her even as ants and flies crawled on her body. Nisha starred in films directed by Balachandran, Visu, Chandrasekhar and opposite Kamal in Tik Tik Tik and Rajinikanth in Rathagendra.
