Aamir Khan's "PK" is still two weeks away from hitting theatres globally, yet trade circles have started speculating about its prospects at the box office.
This is because the film's release coincides with the release of many Hollywood movies and could impact its box office collections, especially in the U.K. and the U.S.
To begin with, "PK" will be clashing with "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies," which is releasing on 12 December in the U.K. and 17 December in the U.S.
Not just this, "Exodus: Gods and Kings", which will hit the screens on 12 December in the U.S., is also expected to have a good run in theatres.
The two releases would pose a strong challenge to Aamir Khan's "PK" as his film will find it difficult to get more number of screens when every single screen matters.
"The Gambler", "Inherent Vice", "Top Five", "The Gambler" (Remake), "Annie", "Mr. Turner", "Night at the Museum 3", "Two Days", "One Night", "Into the Woods" and "Unbroken" are other Hollywood movies, which could pose threat to the prospects of "PK" at international circuits.
Back home, one should also note that Rajinikanth's Tamil movie "Lingaa" will be occupying decent number of screens in centres like Malaysia, the U.K. and the U.S.
Thus it would be tough for Aamir Khan to draw audiences for his film and ensure good collections at the box office.
