Filmmaker Shankar is making sure anything under his brand is going to be a grand affair. The latest news is that the audio launch of the movie, "Kappal", which is produced by Shankar is going to be a grand affair.

The upcoming film is scripted and directed by Karthik G Krish, who had assisted Shankar in Rajinikanth starrer "Enthiran" and "Sivaji".

The audio launch of "Kappal", scheduled on 22 November at Image Auditorium in Chennai, will be attended by superstars Vijay, Vikram and music composer AR Rahman. The music will reportedly be launched by Vijay and AR Rahaman and the trailer will be released by Vikram.

"Kappal" is touted as a romantic comedy entertainer with Vaibhav and Sonam Bajwa in the lead. Earlier, it was reported that actors Shivakarthikeyan or Jai will play the lead in the movie, but the director later zeroed Vaibhav to play the lead role.

The story of the film revolves around concepts of friendship and how it influences the lives of today's youth. Though the theme is a regular one, the makers claim that the story is narrated in a unique fashion and style.

The music of the film is composed by Natarajan Shankaran and has made headlines when music composer Santhosh Narayanan sang a song for the movie. The film also has another song, which is the remix version of 80's super hit song "Ooru Vittu Ooru Vanthu" from the movie "Karattakaran".

Meanwhile, "Kappal" also has a star cast of Karunakaran, VTV Ganesh, Arjunan, Venkat Sundar and Kathik Priyadarshan in pivotal roles.

The cinematography of this entertainer is done by Dinesh Krishnan and is edited by Anthony. The film is produced by Shankar under the banner of S Productions.
