While many heroes are believed to use body doubles for risky stunt sequences, Anushka is one actress, who seems to have said 'no' to using one — for all the stunt sequences in the upcoming film Rudhramadevi. She plays the role of a warrior queen in the film.

Confirming the news director Gunashekar says, "She has totally shot for 150 days. Out of these, over 60 days were spent in shooting a lot of risky stunt sequences. When we suggested using a body double for her, she said she wanted to try those stunts by herself. Recently, we shot a stunt scene in which she had to hang from a height of 150 feet and she did it without throwing a fuss. This film wouldn't have been possible without Anushka's cooperation during the shoot. She also learnt horse riding for five months before we started shooting."
