Rajinikanth starrer 'Lingaa' audio has hit the stores on Sunday, 15 November. The music has been launched through a formal function, which is held at Sathyam, Chennai.
The venue is decked up for the audio release and the "Lingaa" posters are seen everywhere at Sathyam. The function has kick-started on time and Sathyam is jam packed with guests and media men.
Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Shetty, Kannada superstar Sudeep, Vikram Prabhu, KS Ravikumar, producer Gnanavel Raja,Vijaya Kumar, and many others are spotted at the music release function, which is hosted by Shiva. But music director AR Rahman is missing. However, a video interview of him was screened at the event.
AR Rahman says that the story has the epic feel and he is surprised how the movie has been finished in just six months.
Speaking at the occasion, KS Ravikumar revealed that the title "Lingaa" was registered by director Ameer. But when gave away the movie name to him after they requested him for the same. Originally, it was Rajinikanth, who suggested the film title.
The Tamil movie has five songs composed by two-time Oscar Award winner AR Rahman. Vairamuthu and Madhan Karky have written the lyrics for the film. The music director has taken the service of many big singers including SP Balasubramaniam and Haricharan for the album.
"Lingaa" is directed by KS Ravikumar and produced by leading Kannada producer Rockline Venkatesh. The entire distribution rights have been acquired by Eros International.
