Ranveer Singh-Parineeti Chopra-Govinda starrer "Kill Dil" has received decent reviews from critics.
Directed by Shaad Ali, "Kill Dil" is a romantic action entertainer that revolves around the lives of two killers. Dev (Ranveer Singh) and Tutu (Ali Zafar), abandoned in their teenage, are taken care by Bhaiyaji (Govinda) who trains them to be professional killers.
Disha (Parineeti Chopra) enter their life and Dev falls in love with her. But, Bhaiyaji doesn't approve of their relationship and what happens next forms the crux of the story.
Critics have stated that there is nothing new in "Kill Dil", but Singh makes it entertaining with his energetic performance. The other actors including Govinda as Bhayaji have done their parts well.
Ranveer's last two releases – "Ram-leela" and "Gunday" – fetched good reviews and fared well at the box office and it will be interesting to see if "Kill Dil" impresses the audience as well.

"Now, don't be fooled by its deja-vu premise. Kill Dil has innovation with its altered screenplay and execution. Yes, the logics take a back seat here but not to an extent that spoils the flow. The director mostly uses the dialogues and his character, the blend of which helps in making this movie entertaining," according to India TV.
"It's a premise that has been regurgitated by several Bollywood filmmakers with mediocre success. But what sets Kill Dil apart is the endearing performance by Singh. He's as adorable as a wounded puppy and you may find yourself smiling at some of his antics in his quest to be a reformed rake," said Manjusha Radhakrishnan of gulfnews.
"Singh may have had the best lines, but actor Ali Zafar as Tutu complements him well as his partner in crime. Kill Dil doesn't offer any riveting twists, but you don't feel like putting a bullet to your head at the end of it either. Watch it if you love Singh and his nervous energy," stated Manjusha.
"Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar play Clint Eastwood-styled gunmen with much gusto, but their characters are too sketchy and pretentious. Ranveer, though genuine in parts, is left pumping so much energy into Dev that you tire by merely watching him move. And, that's unfortunate considering he's talented. His "veg/non-veg jokes" that lead him to a world of LOLs and ROFLs is one of rare, genuine fun," said Sneha May Francis of Emirates 24/7.
