This is the season of tax exemptions in India for films as many makers are now approaching governments to honor the content of their film and give them relaxation from payment of tax. After hindi flick ‘Mary Kom’, it seems like creative director Gunasekhar is also on similar mode.

As Guna’s latest movie ‘Rudramadevi 3D’ happens to be the story of Queen Rudramadevi of Kakatiya Empire situated around present day Kakatiya Empire, he has met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to see tax exemption for the movie. Featuring Anushka in lead role, Rana, Bunny and Catherina Tresa in supporting roles, this high budgeted historical flick that depends on extensive visual effects is directed and produced by Gunasekhar only.

As the film is likely to hit screens in December itself (a possible shift to Sankranthi also indicated), our director appealed to T-government. As KCR considers Rudrama to be pride of Telangana, he is unlikely to decline this entertainment tax exemption request. Afterwards, Guna might appeal the same to Andhra Pradesh government too.
