Actor Nikhil Siddhartha is overwhelmed by the superb response his latest film "Karthikeya" has garnered. The movie got a brilliant opening at the box office on 24 October.
Written and directed by debutant Chandoo Mondeti, "Karthikeya" released in a limited number of theatres across the globe. Nikhil Siddhartha plays an investigation officer in the suspense-thriller movie, which is also high on comedy. The actor has delivered a powerful performance in the film.
"Karthikeya" opened to a fantastic response not only in India, but also in the USA, where it was premiered on Thursday. Many theatres have been running houseful in the international market. On Thursday night, Nikhil Siddhartha tweeted, "Just got news from the USA distributor and friends that the 9.30 nd 11.30 premiere shows of New Jersey are Sold Out... hmmm. Intresting."
Just before "Karthikeya" hit the screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Nikhil Siddhartha took to his Twitter page to talks about his anxiety. The actor wrote, "Nervous.. And anxious to know how people will react to karthikeya... Jai karthikeya Swamy... Shubham Bhuyat."
People who watched the first show of "Karthikeya" were impressed and went gaga about Nikhil's performance. The elated actor wrote, "Everyone... showering love and wishes... I'm overwhelmed... Thanks for all the support guys... My phn is ringing non stop lol... Love u all." He added, "Guys.. KARTHIKEYA is a realistic film made with honesty and in the realms of reality. It's a different attempt and happy ppl r loving. It :)"
