Hero Gopichand is the son of T Krishna who is a typical communist and director who made revolutionary films like Prathighatana, Repati Pourulu and Neti Bharatham. Eetaram Films is his home banner and he died in the year 1988.
When asked about his father, Gopichand told, "I was 8 years, when he died. My brother was 10 years old and my sister was 6 years old. I was so scared of my father though he never scolded me or beat me. My brother and me used to fight a lot. We used to remain silent in his presence and turn mischievous soon after he goes to office."
The Macho Hero revealed he used to be very close to his mother since childhood days. He, however, haven't interacted with his father much due to respect and fear he have towards him.
