The much awaited South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2014 event is all set to start today (12-9-2014) in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia.
This is the two day event (12-13) and will be a grand affair with celebrities from South Indian film industry. This event will takes place at Stadium Negara, Malaysia and starts from 6:30 pm.
Mega star Chiranjeevi is expected to attend the event. SIIMA and Malaysian Ministry of Tourism and Culture will be honoring him for being the brand ambassador of South Indian Cinema and for his contribution towards Indian tourism.
Sizzling actress Sridevi along with her husband will also attend this ceremony. Actors Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan, Prithviraj, Vikram Prabhu, Arya, Hansika, Amala Paul, Rana Daggubati, Trisha, Dileep, Lakshmi Manchu, Nani, Brahmanandam, Anirudh, Radhika Sarathkumar and Priyamani are likely to be present for the grand occasion.Some celebrities, including Kushboo, Adah, Pranitha, Regina, Navadeep, Sachiin Joshi and Kriti have already reached Malaysia for the two-day event.
There will be 90 awards given out over the two-day event, which recognizes the artistic and technical achievements in the south Indian film industry.
Besides the best actor, best actress and best director categories, SIIMA also has 10 unique categories, such as Youth Icon, Stylish Actress, Sensational Debut and Most Popular Star on Social Media awards.
