Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan seems to ahve won the battle against Hollywood star Brad Pitt. According to reports Pitt's latest war dram Fury has been postponed as its release dates clashed with King Khan's Happy New Year. As per the new dates Brad Pitt's "Fury" will splash across Indian screens Oct 31, two weeks after its international release Oct 17.
The decision has been kept taking in mind the Diwali festivities and the much-awaited release of Shah Rukh Khan's "Happy New Year". Understanding the Diwali season is family time in India, PVR Pictures, the distributors of "Fury" in India will release the film once the festivities have wound down and die-hard fans of Shah Rukh have at least seen "Happy New Year" once in the theaters. The distributors of Fury felt that film would fare well when released later as Shah Rukh Khan's film is expected to get a huge opening and releasing it together would be s a suicidal one.
Shah Rukh’s film is expected to have a huge opening in India, with maximum screens showing the film, thereby reducing the number of screens and shows for the Hollywood movie.
"Fury" is a war drama, which also stars Shia Labeouf. Its trailer has received rave reviews internationally.
