For every artist and technician,there comes a tough phase in film field. Many stalwarts have gone through some rough patches. Especialy when it comes to music department in Tollywood,there is a tough competition . For few, getting a chance is a big thing,and for few other,sustaining success is a big thing.
It seems so as Thaman’s music in Mahesh Babu’s latest flick “Aagadu” is being highly criticized No doubt SS Thaman is the most prolific music composer in Telugu and Tamil film industries. In a very short span of his career, the actor-turned-musician is credited for 50 films as music director. And the landmark 50th film is Mahesh Babu-starrer Aagadu. While the film opened to packed theaters, it got mixed reviews. And many lamented Thaman’s work in the film.
Most of audience and critics opine that the songs in Aagadu look “so good” than they “sound”. This itself says that the tunes are no match to the dances of Mahesh and Tamanna and the visuals captured by Guhan. It’s high time for Thaman to reconcile and swiftly change his style of work, else Thaman will soon be in trouble. Many now describing Aagadu as “warning bell” for Thaman. It need to be seen whether Thaman comes back to his previous form and bounces back with a bang.
