Latter half of 2014 has been not fruitful so far, though we saw many super hits in the first half of 2014, many trade experts thought that 2014 would be Tollywood’s most fruitful year, but all biggies bombed at the box office,
Allu Arjun’s Race Gurram still stands as the film of the year, though summer has been extraordinary for TFI but post summer gave bad results. Ntr’s most expected Rabhasa disappointed audience and also performed very poorly at the box office, Ravi Teja’s power gave some kick with superb openings, but Mahesh Babu’s most expected movie of the season Aagadu failed to impress audiences, prior to release movie was expected to collect 60 + crores but looking at the talk this might end up somewhere near 30-40 Crores.
Now the relay baton is with Ram Charan with Govindudu Andarivadele releasing on October 1st , Ram Charan is in good form, all his recent movies leaving Thoofan performed extremely well at the box office, he registered first hit in 2014 with the super hit film Yevadu, he has amazing crowd pulling ability and is very strong among the masses, but he is doing a complete family film for the first time, and looking at Krishnavamsi’s recent form, trade experts are unable to expect much from the film despite of fact that released trailers are making some buzz among film goers. Pitch is ready for Ram Charan, can he score big or follow Ntr and Mahesh’s path is the most happening question in TFI now.
