"Finding Fanny" and "Creature 3D" failed to survive on weekdays at the domestic box office and the collection of both the films declined drastically.
"Finding Fanny" starring Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor in the lead role earned ₹24.47 crore till Tuesday. The opening weekend collection of the film was good and it raked in ₹19.9 crore.
But on Monday, the collection dropped by more than 50%. It minted ₹2.5 crore on Monday and ₹2.07 crore on Tuesday. But the film has already earned its production cost in the opening weekend; hence the film has sailed to the safe zone.
Homi Adajania directorial film has done good business in overseas market also. From the first three days, the film accumulated 1.6 million USD (₹6.51 crore).
The US-Canada circuits earned the highest amount of ₹2.74 crore from the international market, followed by the UAE-GCC circuits with ₹2.53 crore and the UK circuits with ₹1.11 crore.
The Hindi version of the film was released in the Middle East, Pakistan and certain South East Asian Markets, while in the UK and US, English version was released, Bollywood Hungama reported.
From Pakistan, West Indies, Netherlands, East West Africa, South Africa, Maldives, Norway, Fiji, Srilanka, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand, the film collected approx 450,000 USD, the leading daily reported.
On the other hand, Bipasha Basu's "Creature 3D" continues its poor performance in India as well as in the overseas market.
The domestic box office collection of the monster horror film stands at ₹14.71 crore till Tuesday.
The five days breakup of the film is: Friday ₹3.24 crore, Saturday ₹3.64 crore, Sunday ₹4.48 crore, Monday ₹1.75 crore and Tuesday ₹1.6 crore.
Although the collection is poor, the film managed to earn its budget amount with the help of Satellite and music rights.
The budget of the film is ₹18 crore and adding its print and advertising cost of ₹7 crore, the total amount goes to ₹25 crore.
Till now, the film earned around ₹30 crore - ₹14 crore from box office run, ₹12 crore earned by selling the satellite rights, ₹4 crore from music rights and ₹2 crore from overseas box office collection, IANS reported.
