Mahesh Babu's "Aagadu" has got the biggest ever opening for a Tollywood film at the worldwide box office, according to Andhraboxoffice.
"Aagadu," which hit the screens on 19 September, took grand openings across the world. The film minted ₹9.74 crore share on the first day at the AP/Nizam box office, thus taking the second spot in the list of all time top-10 opening day shares. However, with ₹10.75 crore share, "Attarintiki Daaredi" still tops the list.
However, "Aagadu" has emerged top in the list of all time top opening day shares at the worldwide box office. The film's overwhelming business at the US box office has helped it to achieve this feat.
"Aagadu" has reportedly crossed the $1million mark in just two days including Thursday premieres at the US box office. It is Mahesh Babu's fourth film to enter the $1million club after "Dookudu," "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" and "1 Nenokkadine" among others.

The film has taken a clear lead over "Attarintiki Daaredi" not just in the US, but also in Karnataka Tamil Nadu and Rest of India.

This has led "Aagadu" to get the biggest opening day share for a Telugu film at the worldwide box office.
The action entertainer opened to mixed reviews from the critics. But, it did not affect the opening day business of the film. However, the film's performance has dropped on the second day due to rains in some areas. It is estimated to have earned around ₹3.3 crore share at the AP/Nizam box office, according to Andhraboxoffice.
It remains to be seen whether the film picks up on Sunday. The Mahesh Babu starrer is expected to end the opening weekend on a good note.
Directed by Srinu Vaitla, "Aagadu" is a commercial entertainer with loads of action, punch dialogues and comedy. The film has Tamannaah, Rajendra Prasad, Sonu Sood and Brahmanandam among others playing supporting roles.
The action entertainer is produced by 14 Reels Entertainment and the music is composed by Thaman.
