It appears like all is not well between director-producer Karan Johar and Kajol, who were once known as Bollywood's closest friends.

Though, the speculations regarding the difference between the two, who had worked together in blockbusters "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", "Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham" and "My Name Is Khan" have been doing the rounds for quite some time now, it looks like they are in no mood to hide their differences.

The buzz is that during the recent event of Lakme Fashion Week, which was their good friend and designer Manish Malhotra's show, the duo avoided each other.

In fact, they even entered the venue through different gates and enjoyed the evening with their respective friends.

"They sat far apart and didn't even acknowledge each other's presence when all the other guests were greeting each other. Kajol arrived before Karan and they even entered through different gates." a source told The Times of India.

While Kajol, who generally walks the ramp with close friends, walked alone this time raising rumours.

On the other hand, Johar was seen on the ramp with Gauri Shinde, director of "English-Vinglish".

This behaviour was strange as during their happier times, the friends used to have a good time talking and chatting with other people around while models catwalked on the ramp.

Kajol and Johar's friendship apparently went wrong a few months back following a spat between the former's husband Ajay Devgn and Johar.

The "Student of the Year" producer was rumoured to be making unpleasant remarks about the "Singham Returns" actor. However, he denied when Devgn confronted him.

The tiff between the two best friends became evident during an interview of Johar with Mumbai Mirror, where the director shared his equation with Shah Rukh Khan and his family. He even mentioned that Khan will always be a part of his banner "Dharma Productions". But when asked about his equation with Kajol, he chose to keep mum, "I don't want to comment on Kajol," he replied.

Even during an interview with Devgn, the actor chose to remain tight lipped when asked about what was wrong between them.
