Nearly six months after the ruckus which Samantha's tweet created on the Internet, she finally took to her official page on Saturday night saying, "Fab night. Had a blast with trivikram sir and the most awesome Mahesh Babu. Laugh riot. So happy I presented to Atharva, Baana kathadi days (sic)." If you are dumbfounded about what had happened, here's a lowdown straight from Filmfare Awards (South).
While the proceedings on stage kept the audience hooked, it was Mahesh Babu and Samantha who made a big splash when they bumped into each other at the awards. As soon as Samantha walked into the venue, she greeted Mahesh Babu, who was all smiles to meet his co-star of two films. And if that wasn't enough to set the tongues wagging, considering the whole controversy surrounding Samantha's tweets few months ago about Mahesh Babu starrer 1 Nenokkadine, the duo sat next to each other and were spotted sharing a hearty laugh.
"There was never really an issue or a cold war between us and in the past, I think the issue was created out of thin air. It's just that we have met at a public event after a long time," Samantha said. When asked about the 'bonding' with his co-star, Mahesh Babu echoed a similar stance, saying, "I have already worked in couple of films with her and we share a good rapport. The whole controversy part existed only on the Internet. I think it was just an 'innocent tweet' from her end which was blown out of proportion." Now that the duo has made it clear that all's well between them, maybe it's time for their respective fans to stop all the vitriol on social networking sites and move on!
