Kona Venkat is a happy man these days. He is the co producer of small budget film Geetanjali that has been doing wonders at the box office. This little horror comedy has clicked with the audience and is going from strength to strength by the day. Geetanjali has been made on a shoe string budget and sold to buyers for peanuts.
Everyone who invested money in the film is laughing all the way to the banks. Surprisingly, Geetanjali failed to impress the Telugu critics. Most of them branded this film as a bland comedy that doesn't have enough to lure the audience. But the ticket paying public is more than happy with the film and it is going great guns at the box office.
Kona Venkat took a shot at the critics and stated that 'Reviews can't stop revenues'. Absolutely right sir! But who told you that reviews should reflect the result of a film. Sometimes movies with average content gets lucky and score big on the commercial front. Despite the wonderful show at the BO, Geetanjali remains to be an average film based upon its content.
