If rumours are to be believed, then both the "Happy New Year" and "Bang Bang" actresses have quoted a whopping ₹15 crore to a small time producer.
"I wanted either Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif for the female lead. I quickly scampered away when I heard the price they quoted and signed another less pricey A-Lister," DNA quoted the producer who approached the beauties to make a sequel of his recently successful thriller.

The hike of more than ₹5 crore, has reportedly raised the eyes of the makers. So, they are now reportedly looking for newcomers like Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor, who has marked themselves as successful actresses with multiple super hits. They have even expressed their willingness to work with smaller projects.
"Neither Alia nor Shraddha has raised her fee at the moment even after consecutive hits. But it can happen any time. Producers who cannot reach Katrina and Deepika are approaching Alia and Shraddha. Though these two are extremely selective, they are not prohibitive pricewise. At least, not yet," said a trade insider.
Meanwhile, top Bollywood actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn are known for charging around ₹30- ₹40 crore per film, plus a considerable share in the profits. Read more here.
