'Love in Mandya' Audience Review: Live Update | Love in Mandya Rating, Public Talk, Hit or Flop?

Sathish Ninasam and Sindhu Lokanath's chemistry had worked well in Yogaraj Bhat's "Drama." Now, they have teamed up again for "Love in Mandya".

The film is a romantic entertainer set in Mandya. According to the makers, "Love in Mandya" is an out-and-out entertainer with the comedy elements ruling the major part of the film. But the last 15 minutes before the climax takes a different turn to surprise the audience.

The film has been shot in Mandya, Mysore, Bangalore, Tamil Nadu and other places. The main characters will speak in the Mandya dialect. The Kannada flick is directed by Arasu Anthare and produced by Uday K Mehta of Sudeep's "Bachchan" fame.

Anoop Selin has scored the music for the film and "Currentu Hodha Timealli" has become a popular track from the album. While Jnanamurthy has handled the cinematography, Akshay P Rao has edited the movie.

'Ambareesha' ('Ambarisha') Review - Illogical Screenplay Plays Spoilsport

'Ambareesha', which is also spelled as 'Ambarisha', is an action-packed film starring Darshan, Rachita Ram and Priyamani. The movie is directed by Mahesh Sukhadare of "Sambrama" fame.

The Kannada film shows Darshan at his best and the good news for the audience is that after films, the actor has returned with an original story. What ruins the story is the director's desperation to play to the gallery.

The subject of 'Ambareesha' is about the prevalance of land mafia in Bangalore. How the hero fights to save the city from the powers that encroach land. Ambareesha aka Kempe Gowda works for a developer, who has waged a war against land encroachment. The politician played by Sharath Lohitashwa and underworld don Kelly Dorji want to build a casino in the heart of the city.

Meanwhile, Priyamani, who plays the role of the arrogant daughter of Darshan's boss, has clashes with the hero, leading her to naively join hands with the baddies. The remaining story is about how good wins over evil.

The movie claims to be a tribute to Kempe Gowda, founder of Bangalore. Actor-politician Ambarish has played the title role and appears every at parts. Mahesh Sukhadhare has constructed the plots that heavily bank on what Darshan's fans love to see in his films. From the moment the film takes off to the very end, he tries to project him as no less than the messiah of the masses.

The director has taken too much of liberty to glorify Darshan's role and the logic goes for a toss in many parts of the film. He tries to bring in various factors to ensure the hero's victory but the final divine intervention is hard to take after two-and-a-half hours of the movie. While there are a few twists that generate curiosity in the minds of the audience, the poor narration and the lack of comic elements fail to hold the audience's attention.

However, there are some interesting moments in the film too. The scene where Darshan challenges Priyamani wins huge applause from the audience. The portrayal of Ambarish in Kempe Gowda's avatar is rich. Be it the song sequence or the only scene with Darshan, he looks at his best. Indeed, no actor could have enacted the role with ease. Priyamani's glamour and Rachita Ram's lovely little acts are the few attractions. Technically, cinematography is good and the songs are okay.

Verdict: It is quite unfortunate that "Ambareesha" disrespects the audience's intelligence with illogical screenplay.

"Belli" is directed by Mussanje Mahesh and produced by HR Rajesh. It has V.Sridhar's music, KS Chandrashekar's cinematography and Deepu S Kumar's editing.

The film is set in underworld, where the hero Belli alias Basavaraj comes from a village to the city to earn livelihood and enters the underworld. However, the actor turns mentally ill after falling in love.

'Fair and Lovely' Kannada Movie Review: A Pure Entertainer | Fair and Lovely Review, Rating, Talk

After making his debut four years ago with "Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu", director Raghuram is back with "Fair and Lovely" starring Prem Kumar and Shwetha Srivatsav of "Simpallagi Ond Love Story" fame.

"Fair and Lovely" is a romantic story that banks on good screenplay and dialogues. The pattern of the narration might remind us of "Simpallagi Ond Love Story", but the film is completely different from the former.

Plot: Manu aka Manoj lands in a brothel by mistake and meets Bhumika (Shwetha). To their shock, police raids the house and the duo will be trapped. Following which they reveal how they landed in the brothel.

Raghuram has written the story with lots of twist and the surprise in the climax gets full marks for the screenplay.

Prem Kumar reinstates that he is growing as an actor. Shwetha does her role neatly and impresses the audience as a sex worker. Harikrishna's music is a big disappointment and his background is situational. Jagadish Wali's cinematography stands out as one of the highlights of this Kannada movie.

The flick is full of life and the entertainment values are high if you love sharp and witty dialogues. The conversation between the lead actors, at places, is highly impressive. "We are like dustbins...without us the society would not be clean," this one-liner is just an example of how well the dialogues have been written in "Fair and Lovely".

Raghuram, in his second attempt, seems to have worked well on the script. Even though the film does not boost of a great story, his screenplay makes the difference.

Verdict: "Fair and Lovely" is purely entertaining. No second thought in it.

"Neenade Naa", which is also spelled as "Neenadena", is the maiden production of veteran actor Devaraj. The Kannada film made on their banner Dynamic Visions has his son, Prajwal Devaraj, along with Priyanka Kandwal, playing the lead roles.

The expectations are very high from the film as it is made on Prajwal Devaraj's home production. His father Devaraj has given a good publicity to "Neenade Naa". Hence, the Sandalwood movie is releasing in good number of screens.

The title is inspired by an opening line from a song from the film "Murali Meets Meera" and the name clearly tells you that it is a romantic-comedy movie. "Neenade Naa" is directed by Kandhas and it has Arjun Janya's music. Ankitha, Doddanna, Avinash, Pavitra Lokesh, Bullet Prakash and others are in the cast.

Real star Upendra is back with the 2nd movie of the year titled Super Ranga. The movie is the remake of the blockbuster hit Telugu movie Kick. His last film Brahma got very positive response from the audience. Super Ranga is highly anticipated movie for the Uppi fans. The movie has been released to coincide with the actor's 46th birthday.

The film is the kannada remake of the Telugu hit Kick that starred Ravi Teja in the lead role.
The Kannada rights of the film was first procured by N Kumar to make a film with Sudeep. The film did not happen and the rights fell on the lap of Manju.

Story:

The film is about a man who believes in doing only things that give him a kick. Depsite idiosyncrasies he and Kriti embark upon a whirlwind romance, until one day he breaks up with her for a new 'Kick' and walks away never to return. Meanwhile, Kriti meets a police officer as her match. On a train journey, she narrates her story while he recounts how one person is playing too smart trying to evade arrest after committing heinous crimes. What happens next? Will Uppi and Kriti meet again? If yes, under what circumstances forms the crux of the story.

Analysis:

Although the movie is a remake, Sadhu Kokila has added some masala elements to make it more suitable to the Kannada audience. There are a couple of scenes which is very 'Uppi'ish. Upendra is talented and can pull of any role with ease and this he has demonstrated that in Super Ranga. Kriti has done her job well. Comedy is the key elements and a big plus in the movie.

Final Verdict: Uppigintha ruchi bere illa. We think Super Ranga is better than the Hindi remake of the Telugu Kick that starred Salman Khan.

Plot:

Adyaksha Kannada Movie Review: Adyaksha is a comedy film starring Sharan and Raksha in the leading roles. Ravi Shankar, Malavika Avinash, Chikanna, and Ramesh Bhat are showing in the film as supporting actors. The movie is directed by Nanda Kishora. With a balance of comedy and drama in the film, the movie does not dose the audience with too much comedy or too much drama.

It was an equal balance. Sharan has good comic timing and the supporting actors portray their characters well. Also, Raksha does well in supporting the leading male of the film, Sharan. If you love comedy and drama, then go watch this film because it will definitely make you laugh a lot!

Panganama‬ kannada movie review: Panganama, a comedy flick is directed by Gururaj who made his debut as an actor, writer and director in this film. Producers Devaraj Banagere and Janani Basavaraj has produced the kannada flick that stars Sadhu Kokila, Guru, Sanjana Prakash, Doddanna, Iti Acharya, Umesh and Biradar played prominent roles. The music is scored by Aditya Pandit. Let us take a look at the movie review and story.

The plot of Panganama turns around the life of Sadhu who is a daring and crazy police officer. And, by his actions he irritates his seniors, then he transferred to a village. The area is full of crime and not a single complaint is registered last from few years. Instead, Sadhu courageously face the situation and how he handles all the things is the crux of the movie.

As a comedy flick, the screenplay of Gururaj is good, but could have done better. The narration has some flaws and same is with the performance of cast. The music is average and story is not tightly knitted. The storyline is pretty not clear, but appear clumsy in the mid. Comic timing of Sadhu is good and manages to tickle the funny bone of the audience.

The music is good, but didn't sync with most of the passing scenes. Gururaj also acted in the lead role as equally important as the role of Sadhu Kokila. The reviews for the movie are mix, but movie is worth watching only when you want to kill your free time with some jokes.

Power Star Kannada Movie Review: Power Star, an action-drama film is a remake of Telugu movie Dookudu. The Kannada movie is directed by K. Madesh and produced by Ram Achata Gopich, Achanta and Anil Sunkara under the banner of 14 Reels Entertainment. Power Star movie features Puneeth Rajkumar and popular star Trisha Krishnan as lead pair while Kelly Dorji, Prabhu, Sadhu Kokila, Doddanna will be seen playing other important roles.

Five songs of the film are tuned by SS Thaman while editing is done by Deepu S. Kumar. MS Ramesh penned the dialogues for the movie while cinematography is handled by G. G. Krishna Kumar. Let us begin our movie review and story.

The story of Power Star revolves around the life of intense Puneeth who always fights against injustice. In the series of fighting with some goons, he met Trisha who fall in his love after seeing him doing some stunts. Power Star is packed with action, drama and romance.

Power Star is true delight for the fans of Puneeth and glamorous Trishya. K. Mandesh done a good job in arranging all the elements nicely. The catchy music perfectly blends and enhances every action-packed sequence. Puneeth manages to pull off the stunts at ease and appears in an intense avatar.

The sizzling chemistry of Puneeth and Trishya is the highlight of the movie who perfectly compliments each other. Choreography is good and Trishya looks convincing in cute, innocent and glamorous role. The plot is simple and tightly knitted that goes well with all filmgoers.

Aryan Kannada Movie Review: Aryan, a sports drama film is earlier helmed by D. Rajendra Babu, but as he died in half-way, the responsibility of the project is shouldered by Chi Guru Dutt. The Kannada film is produced by Dhruv Das under the banner of Dreamweaver Entertainment. Aryan stars Shivarajkumar and Ramya in the lead rolesas lead pair.

Other cast includes Sarath Babu, Bullet Prakash, Sumithra Devi, Raghu Mukherjee, Archana Gupta and Sudeep as Narrator. The cinematography is handled by Chandrashekar and music is scored by Jassie Gift. For the movie review and story of Aryan, please read on.

The story of Aryan is based on the life of Aryan (Shivrajkumar), who is an athletics coach and appointed for training the girls. During the training, Aryan falls in love of one of the athlete queen (Ramya) and their love life moves on. Ramya practiced very well for the competition, but some twist come in the plot and she was banned for playing two years in major athletics events. Later, what happens is the core of the movie.

Aryan released with a great buzz and received good response from the audience. Shivraj looks great as sports coach and appeared in intense energetic avatar packed with action. Ramya portrayed the pivotal role of athlete and love interest of Aryan wonderfully.

The narration of Chi Guru Dutt has some flaws. The music is brilliant and gained mixed reviews. Plot is unique and engaging that exhibit betrayal, jealousy, lust and hostility. All elements in the movie are well arranged and nicely incorporated. Aryan is the story of the triumph of human spirit and passion. All in all, the wholesome entertainer movie, let you not get bored uptill the last frame.
