Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Share Screen Space with Hubby Abhishek in Prahlad Kakkar's Next

Posted by: Unknown Posted date: 10:51 / comment : 0 ,

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is on a roll with back-to-back films in her hand. The 41-year-old actress was on a break post pregnancy, but the former Miss World is back with a bang.

The actress will be reportedly working with filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar in his upcoming movie "Happy Anniversary". Aishwarya Rai will share the screen space with her husband Abhishek Bachchan in Kakkar's next.

Aishwarya has three projects in her hand now including, "Jazbaa", "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" and Kakkar's next.

Earlier, there were reports that Aishwarya Rai has turned down Kakkar's offer as he commented on her weight. Kakkar commented saying that he wants Aishwarya Rai to lose more weight for the film, which reportedly irked the actress.

There were reports that the actress is upset with the comment, and she might turn down Kakkar's offer.

However, the ad-man confirmed the reports by saying that the film features the real-life couple Aishwarya and Abhishek in lead role. Kakkar also confirmed saying that the film will go on floors next year in February.

"There is no change in the cast of the film and, Inshallah, we should be starting the film in February. In the film industry, only God knows how and when things fall into place," Kakkar told Hindustan Times.

A source close to the filmmaker also revealed that Aishwarya and Kakkar share a good working equation. The two have sorted out their issues and will start working on the film in February.

"Prahlad and Aishwarya already shared a healthy working equation. Prahlad was one of the earliest names to back her when she started modelling. He has now ironed out the so-called problems, and is all set to start the film in 2015," a source told HT.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya will start shooting for her upcoming film "Jazbaa" in January, which features Irrfan in the male lead role. She will also start the shooting of Karan Johar's directorial film "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma by mid-2015.

After 'Happy New Year', Shahrukh Khan Helps Abhishek Bachchan in his New Venture

Posted by: Unknown Posted date: 11:45 / comment : 0 , ,

Abhishek Bachchan seems to be riding high these days. From owning a Kabbaddi team; emerging as the season's winner of a football team at the Indian Super League; and his recently-released hugely successful film "Happy New Year" along with Shah Rukh Khan. Junior Bachchan has all the reasons to smile.

But, the actor, who is a sports lover, is planning to explore the sports field in the deep and has approached his mentor and "HNY" co-star SRK for some help.

During an interview with Absolute India, Bachchan was vocal about bringing a change in the Indian mindset about football. Bachchan believes that India has a lot of talented sportsmen who can perform well if given a bigger platform and greater opportunity. He further states that in coming years he wants to see an Indian football team competing at the World Cup.

"I want to be part of the football revolution in India. I want to be part of the clan that is making a difference with football in India." said Bachchan.

"The ultimate goal is have a team playing for India in the World Cup. That's not going to happen overnight. These things take time so that's why I got involved with ISL. To add to it, I love football and it's a great high to be able to work for the game. There is a huge amount of sporting talent in India and it is about time they are given their due. These leagues are only going to bring out even more (fresh) talent," Bachchan added.

The actor is also planning to own a sports company, and King Khan is believed to have provided Bachchan with the idea. In fact, SRK suggested to him to visit Venky Mysore, CEO, Kolkata Knight Riders and Red Chillies Entertainment, and master the tactics of managing a sports company.

Meanwhile, the duo's latest film "Happy New Year" has been on a roll, financially, at the box office. The film aso starring Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah has broke many records.

Aaradhya Gets A Gift From Mamata Banerjee

Posted by: Unknown Posted date: 11:31 / comment : 0 ,

When the Bachchans - Amitabh, Jaya, Abhishek and Aishwarya attended the 20th Kolkata International Film Festival recently , Aaradhya was missed by more than her immediate family.

Not only was she spoken about at the ceremony, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee even sent her a gift a cute pink frock. Jaya, who said the festival had become a family event, wished grand daughter Aaradhya would join them on the same stage one day.

A Mumbai source said, “Mamata gifted Big B a light golden angrakha and cream dhoti, Abhishek received a cream angrakha and a pink dhoti. For Jaya, it was a silk sari, while Aishwarya was gifted a long maroon dress with golden work.“

Aishwarya Rai- Abhishek Bachchan in Nagshekar's Romantic Movie?

Posted by: Unknown Posted date: 09:05 / comment : 0 ,

Real-life couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan has worked together in a few movies before, and their chemistry has worked wonders. Now, Kannada director Nagshekar, who is all set for his Bollywood debut, is eyeing their call sheets for his romantic entertainer.

The Bollywood movie is being produced by Bharat Jain, the successful producer of blockbuster movie "6-5=2", who has confirmed the news and said that he either wants Aishwarya Rai-Abhishek Bachchan or Ajay Devgn-Kajol to play the lead roles. The movie is written and directed by Nagshekar.

"Nagshekar has written the story and he will be directing it as well. It will be in Hindi and we will have one of the top pair in Bollywood," the Times of India quoted the producer as saying.

Bharat Jain has explained that though the cast of the film hasn't been confirmed yet, he surely wants big names from Bollywood to act in it. The pre-production work is on and makers will formally announce the news soon. It is also being said that he is remaking "6-5=2" in Bollywood.

He is the latest producer from Kannada film industry to venture into other film industries after K Manju (Produced "Bramman" in Tamil) and Rockline Venkatesh (Rajinikanth's forthcoming Tamil movie "Lingaa" and Telugu movie "Power").

On the other hand, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, will make a comeback with Sanjay Gupta's "Jazbaa" and Rohit Shetty's next with Shah Rukh Khan. It remains to be seen whether the couple will agree to act in Nagshekar's movie.

After starting his career as a comedian, Nagshekar turned director with Ganesh's "Aramane". But it was "Sanju Weds Geetha" that gave him the big break in the industry. It was followed by moderate hit "Mynaa".

Jaya Bachchan Criticises Son Abhishek's Film 'Happy New Year', Calls it Most 'Nonsensical' Film

Posted by: Unknown Posted date: 19:30 / comment : 0 , ,

While Abhishek Bachchan is garnering appreciations from the audiences for his stupendous performance in Shah Rukh Khan's "Happy New Year", his mother and yesteryear actress Jaya Bachchan seems to be not quite delighted with it.

During a recently concluded literature festival in Mumbai, Jaya, who is known to be outspoken was quite vocal about "Happy New Year". Despite her son being a part of the successful film, it didn't deter her from slamming the film in a public platform.

"HNY is the most nonsensical film I've seen in recent years. I said that to the film's lead actor as well. I watched it only because Abhishek was part of it. I told him he's a great actor if he can act stupid in front of the camera like that. I can't be part of what is being done in films these days and hence I don't do films anymore," she mentioned, according to a Deccan Chronicle report.

The actress made her point while discussing the topic, "the failure of literature in informing current cinema". Depicting Shah Rukh starrer "Happy New Year" as an example, she mentioned that it is a 'nonsensical' film.

"Unfortunately cinema today is about business, not art. We call good films art house cinema. What does that even mean? All cinema is art," Jaya further added.

The actress, wife of megastar Amitabh Bachchan, has been a part of some iconic films. Her performances in "Guddi", "Mili", "Abhimaan", "Bawarchi", "Upahaar" were critically acclaimed.

Meanwhile, despite receiving some negative remarks from critics and viewers alike, "Happy New Year" is minting huge money and has broken all box office records. Apart from Shah Rukh and Abhishek, the film also stars Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah in important roles.

Abhishek Bachchan to Celebrate Wife Aishwarya Rai's Birthday with 'Happy New Year' Team?

Posted by: Unknown Posted date: 17:14 / comment : 0 ,

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the former Miss World, will turn 41 on 1 November.

With the birthday approaching, speculations have been doing the rounds as to what special plans the actress and her family have to mark her birthday this year.

During a recent interaction with the media, husband Abhishek Bachchan and the "Happy New Year" actor when asked about Aishwarya Rai's birthday plans, he mentioned that it will be a triple celebration this year, reported Business of Cinema.

First the celebration of his wife's birthday, then his "HNY" co-star Shah Rukh Khan who will celebrate his birthday on 2 November and then there's the success of "Happy New Year".

Speaking about the guest list for the birthday party, the actor mentioned that the celebration will be a small affair as "HNY" is enough to mark the special day.

While no concrete plans have been made on Aishwarya's birthday, the celebration will surely be special for the actress with her daughter Aaradhya, who will turn three on 16 November.

Moreover, with Abhishek's plan of triple celebration, it would be interesting to find if the Bollywood diva celebrates her birthday along with King Khan and the "Happy New Year" team.

Meanwhile, Abhishek is receiving positive responses for his role in Shah Rukh starrer "Happy New Year". The film, also starring Deepika Padukone, was released on 24 October and is minting huge money at the box office.

On the other hand, Aishwarya Rai will be making her comeback in Sanjay Gupta's "Jazbaa". The shooting of the film will reportedly begin in December and apart from the Bachchan bahu, the film also stars Irrfan Khan.
